Maysville…..Wilma Potter Vaughn, age 90, passed away May 15, 2012 at Naperville, IL. She was born July 23, 1921 to William F. Harms and Lola (Helms) Harms near Weatherby, MO.
She married Thomas Potter who preceded her in death in 1971. She then married Oran Vaughn in 1974 who also preceded her in death in 2000. She was a member of the Wyatt Park Baptist Church and was a past president of the DeKalb County Historical Society. She graduated from Platt Gard Business College and worked at the Quartermaster before starting Imperial Drug Company with her husband Thomas.
Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Potter Matthews, her grandson, Steven Potter Matthews and wife Maureen all of Naperville, IL.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Bram-Turner Funeral Home, Maysville with burial in Hopewell Cemetery, Weatherby. Visitation: 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions: DeKalb County Historical Society. www.bram-turnerfuneralhome.com
